Just finished my first week of med school. It seemed like a really long week, but then again, it went by pretty quickly. Even though I'm exhausted after this week, I'm still in the excited-about-school mode. Classes are pretty interesting. Every morning, we have anatomy lecture, embryology, and/or biostats, and then anatomy lab 3 times a week. I feel like I have learned so much in one week, and yet there is still so much I don't know. But now, instead of taking useless classes, I feel like everything I learn is useful to me. Two defining moments these past two weeks were first, the white coat ceremony (pictures at http://community.webshots.com/user/drsparkle) where we got our first white coats, and then when I got my very first stethoscope yesterday. I'm going to be a doctor someday! Wow. I've enjoyed getting to know the people in my med class. They come from all over the U.S. and the world and it is really fun getting to know everyone. We had socials every night during orientation, and tonight I had a bunch of people over. Still lots of people that I have yet to meet, but that will come with time. Alright, well I'm exhausted so I'm going to head to bed so I can study all day tomorrow....

Just wanted to thank all of you girls for a wonderful two years. I'm so lucky to be able to call you all my sisters and I treasure all of the time we spent together. I will be in med school in the fall but I will still be around, so be sure to invite me to stuff! :) Love you all!
